About Great Passion…

Fire is a great force that can inspire and destroy. Its flames can crawl upwards and downwards and spread across large distances. Yet, the power of fire can be easily taken with a bit of water, making it vulnerable. This push and pull from strength to vulnerability, from having a total control to having none, is a mystery that we experience daily. Painting is one way of controlling the experience of the world. Making sense of life events that are tangled and multifaceted is the process of painting. As every colour is an emotion that is either compared or juxtaposed with another colour-emotion. Do we perceive our lives based on differences or similarities? Perhaps, a balance of both is the key.
